Nancy K. Rigby is a vice president and campaign director at Coxe Curry & Associates. She joined Coxe Curry in 1990, serving on the Woodruff Arts Center’s $30 million endowment campaign and the Center’s annual corporate campaign. Nancy has directed campaigns for the Atlanta History Center, Atlanta Police Foundation, Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, Chattahoochee Nature Center, Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, 100 Black Men of Atlanta, PATH Foundation, Piedmont Park Conservancy and the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. Current campaigns include Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, Atlanta Botanical Garden, Atlanta Education Fund, Grady Health System and Zoo Atlanta. She has also conducted numerous feasibility studies and development assessments.
Nancy has consulted with American Rivers, Apollo Theater Foundation, Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, Georgia CASA, the Georgia Conservancy, Mountain Conservation Trust, Georgia Tech’s Robert Ferst Center for the Arts, The Martin Luther King, Jr. Papers Project, Latin American Association, Marcus Jewish Community Center, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, The Nature Conservancy and the Robert W. Woodruff Library.
Prior to joining the firm, Nancy held a number of key leadership positions with the Junior League of Atlanta, one of the nation’s largest Leagues with more than 4,000 members. In 1989, she was treasurer and chief financial officer of the Junior League of Atlanta, and was responsible for all fundraising activities of the organization. In 1986-87, as Vice President of Communications and Education, she created and implemented marketing and public relations plans. In 1985 to 1986, as Nearly New Shop Chairman, she supervised 250 volunteers. In 1990 to 1991, Nancy served as Finance/Fund Development Resource Officer for the Association of Junior Leagues International and conducted seminars on finance, fundraising and legal and fiduciary responsibilities of boards of directors.
She is a past board member of the Southern Bell Georgia Consumers Advisory Board, the Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School Parents Council, past vice president of finance for Egleston Children’s Hospital Auxiliary, past nominating chair and executive committee member of the Center for Puppetry Arts and past member of the Atlanta Children’s Shelter’s board and executive committee. She has also been an active volunteer at the Westminster Schools and All Saints' Episcopal Church. Nancy currently serves on the “Grants to Green” Advisory Committee.
She is a member of Atlanta Rotary.
She attended the University of Kentucky and has completed numerous courses in finance, fundraising and group dynamics and is a graduate of the Regional Leadership Institute. Nancy has been a featured speaker at the White House Initiative on Education Conference for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
She and her husband, Charlie, are founders and former co-chairs of the University of Georgia Parents and Families Association. They have two children, Charlie, Jr. and Charlotte.
