JENNIE SHEPPARD JENNIE SHEPPARD - Associate Campaign Director

Jennie Sheppard is a campaign director with Coxe Curry & Associates. Her consulting experience includes conducting feasibility studies and providing campaign direction and management for many Atlanta-area nonprofit organizations. Jennie has worked for a variety of clients including Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Children’s School, Genesis Shelter, Hands On Atlanta, Piedmont Park Conservancy and Theatrical Outfit. Most recently, she has worked with Camp Twin Lakes, Georgia Perimeter College, the Georgia Research Alliance, the Georgia Meth Project, Georgia State University’s College of Health & Human Sciences and Visiting Nurse | Hospice Atlanta.

Prior to joining Coxe Curry & Associates in 2002, Jennie was on the development staff of Georgia State University. While there, she conducted prospect research, coordinated events and assisted in prospect cultivation and major donor recognition. She also created an award-winning manuscript highlighting the success of the University’s first comprehensive capital campaign, earning the University the Philanthropy Seal of Excellence in the 2001 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards Program.

During her graduate study, Jennie interned at the Marcus Jewish Community Center where she assessed the organization’s funding needs, researched and evaluated potential funding sources, wrote grant proposals and assisted in planning events and developing community partnerships. She also served as a Graduate Research Assistant in the School of Nursing for the TeenSmart Program, an adolescent risk prevention intervention study funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Jennie is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, with a Bachelor of Social Work. She has a Masters in Social Work from Georgia State University, with a concentration in community partnerships.

Jennie is a member of the 2008 Destiny Fund class, an initiative of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation. She is active with the United Way Regional Commission on Homelessness and as a Community Impact Committee volunteer. Sheppard currently serves on the Board of the Eating Disorders Information Network.
